Kuantan Bussiness Trip 8-11 April 09

Due to some emergency issue happened in a site at the Kuantan on Tuesday night, I had been assigned to go to site on the following day which is Wednesday. I also took this chance to visit some of the places in Kuantan but mainly still makan-makan around.

I went to lunch at a quite famous place called Kemaman Kopitiam and surprisingly a nasi lemak special with a quarter Ayam percik and a fried egg cost me about RM13.90 if i remembered correctly. The Teh ais cost me another RM2.50 with the special packaging coffebean copy-cat-to-be. Anyhow, I felt that it is more expensive then KL price but the food is just awesome with not so awesome price :D

Attached with some photo shooting on the hotel and also the beach photo. I did go to Teluk Chempedak, but sadly the rainy morning did not allow me to take any nice photo. Pls bear with me.... Ok, photo time....

Testing the stability of your iron hand..

I read in 1 of my favourites blogger's blog and found another new thing to test out for my camera skill. Yesterday I tested it out and found that I am quite bad in the stability of my hand. Out of so many snaps, only able to get 1 or 2 is good.
Don't worry, I will try to improve.Gambateh...

The test as below:
Set to manual mode and by adjusting the ISO and the F to bigger to get the Shuttle speed to 1 sec.
Get ready an analogue watch that will be ticking instead of the automatic analogue.
Shoot the watch and you should be able to get 2 second arm aka 秒针 without any blur image。

1st Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2009

Today I went to this event called "1st Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2009" at presinct 2 near the famous governtment office block there.

It was a not bad experience as we seldom see any hot air balloon flying around in KL or Malaysia.

The main purpose was to shoot the photo of this hot air balloon as putrajaya is just 10 mins away from my office. Ended up have some extra experience to have a ride of this hot air balloon.

There are 2 balloons after all ballons flied away remain there to open to media for a free ride and photo shooting purpose. After all media went up, then I saw a lot of public aka photogs went up to test it out. Then, I also beh pai seh(not shy) to test it out even it is just few meters away from ground and also a 2 mins ride. It was a good experience though. I think this is possible on weekday which is today Thursday. If it is weekend, for sure the public will be crowded like sardin can.

Today is a boredom day...Dunno what to eat during dinner and also dunno what to do after dinner....
Then, reached home and realised pasar malam is on today.....
Went tabao at pasar malam and decided to do some testing as mentioned over?here...

Liew Choong&Ai Yin's wedding

Just happen to be invited a uni mate aka course mate wedding in Lukut near Port Dickson.

It was a nice wedding. Nearly get lost when on the way to the restaurant =.="

It was like a gathering of the old uni mates as the couple both also from the same uni....

Coincidencely the bridesmaid is my gf's best friend also.... so it happen to be like a gathering :p

Valentine's day dinner @ Bandar Utama Ribs Oasis

For the celebration of the V day, we went to the restaurant at the Bandar Utama named Ribs Oasis. The food over there was not bad, quite worth with the portion. But the V day special portion is smaller than the usual portion. Sorry to tell that. I liked the place as it is not so crowded as for the big day.

To be honest, the pork burger was awesome but I had that not on the V day but a week before the V day. Sorry for the muslim as this restaurant is not halal and it is a nice restaurant for the pork lover like me. :p

The V day package menu as below with RM118++ 10% = RM129.80

Starter=Warm seafood in white wine cream sauce on a bed of garlic spinach

Main Course= Grilled Pork neck steak on caramelised red and white cabbage

Dessert= Baked peach with chocolate ice cream drizzle with orange cointreau mint sauce

Dong Chan Si Temple @ Jenjarom and Coconut flower @ Teluk gong

We went to coconut flower(椰花园）for seafood dinner and thereafter we went to dong chan si (东禅寺）for the CNY celebration thingy. It was on the 8th Feb 2009. All the places over there are crowded. It is no joke. Even we need to travel so far to there and hell knows that the coconut flower restaurant already full of people waiting beside the almost finished eating table even we reached there around 6.30pm. Yeah, you read correctly, it is 6.30pm and we still need to wait till 7.05pm only able to get a table for 6 and yet another 30mins for the food to be served. Due to the 'hungriness', I forgotten to snap the food photo, sorry for that. Only the food after we finished the meal was taken. Ok, picture time again.....
